Rose Dwyer

Rose Marie Dwyer, 87, of Spencer, passed away peacefully at 8:40 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2026, at The Waters of Martinsville. Rose was born on April 5, 1939, to George Cullison and Genevia (Stephen) Cullison. She lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, and a deep love for her family and community. Rose was a kind, caring woman whose warmth, strength, and presence will be greatly missed by everyone fortunate enough to know her. Throughout her life, Rose took great pride in her work and in serving others. She worked at Spencer Elementary School as both a lunch lady and custodian, where she touched the lives of countless students and staff members. She also worked in the deli department at Babbs, as a cashier, and at IGA. Most recently, Rose fulfilled her entrepreneurial spirit as the owner and operator of The Furniture Place. Rose loved working crossword puzzles, word searches and enjoyed cooking for her family. Above all else, Rose cherished her family. She is survived by her sons, Donald Scott Dwyer and Steven (Jessica) Dwyer; her grandchildren, Anastasia Denny, Stephen Dwyer, Seth Martin, and Luke Martin; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Donald C. Dwyer; six siblings; and one grandchild, Genna. A celebration of Rose's life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home of Walton Funeral Service Inc. Alberta Tucker

Alberta Jean Tucker, 95, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, September 28, 2026, at Stonecroft Health Campus surrounded by the comfort and care of those who loved her. She was born in Quincy, Indiana, to Harold VanDeventer and Elma (Cooksey) VanDeventer. Alberta lived a long and meaningful life centered on hard work, family, and the simple things that brought her joy. For more than 25 years, Alberta was a dedicated employee of RCA in Bloomington. She was known for her strong work ethic and dependable nature, and she took great pride in providing for her family throughout the years. Alberta especially loved spending time with her family, who meant the world to her. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and created many cherished items through the years with her talent and care. She also held a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, whose companionship brought her great happiness. She will be deeply missed by her children, Gene (Heidi) Tucker, Gary (Debbie) Tucker, David (Ruthie) Tucker, and Leanna McKnight (John Naylor)  six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Her legacy will continue through the many lives she touched with her love, kindness, and devotion to family. Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Elma VanDeventer; her sister, Lavonne Livingston; and her brothers, Eugene VanDeventer and Gayle Lee VanDeventer. Clinton Reed

Clinton "Clint" B. Reed, 45, of Linton, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Friday, September 25, 2026, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, surrounded by his family.Clint was born in Linton on May 19, 1981, to Charles "Chuck" and Tammy (Scott) Reed. He came into the world alongside his twin sister, Courtney, and they shared a bond that lasted his whole life. He grew up in Greene County and graduated from White River Valley High School in 1999.Clint was the kind of man who liked to know how things worked and how to fix them. He brought that curiosity and skill to his career as an engineering technician at NSWC Crane with Tri Star. There he worked on electronic warfare decoys that help protect service members, and he took real pride in doing that work well. At home, he spent many hours working on vehicles, and there was rarely a project he wouldn't take on.Clint was happiest outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing, whether that meant a quiet morning in the woods or a long afternoon on the water. He also loved music and played the drums.More than anything, Clint loved his family. He and his wife, Joy, had a home full of kids, and Clint made sure to be in the stands for their games. He cheered for every one of them. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his hard work, and how much he loved the people closest to him.Clint is survived by his wife, Joy (Hubble) Reed; his parents, Chuck and Tammy Reed; his five children, Kolton Reed, Cameron Reed, Russell Goodman, Jessica Hubble, and Jonathan Carrig; his grandsons, Brantley McCallum and Benson McCallum; his twin sister, Courtney Reed; his maternal grandmother, Louisa Scott; and aunts, uncles, nieces, a nephew, and cousins.Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton, of Walton Funeral Service, on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, and again on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM until the time of service. A funeral service to celebrate Clint's life will follow at 1:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Roma Baker

Roma Lea Baker, 86, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at 6:55 a.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Glenburn Nursing Home, surrounded by the love of her family.Born on March 25, 1940, in Linton, Indiana, Roma was the daughter of Eugene “Gene” Gennicks and Marie (Lynch) Gennicks. She built a life rooted in devotion to family, faith, hard work, and the small everyday joys that made people feel cared for.On November 23, 1957, Roma married the love of her life, Max E. Baker. Together they shared 54 years of marriage, creating a home filled with family, memories, and steadfast love until Max’s passing in 2012.Roma devoted more than 23 years to serving her community through her work at the Worthington Post Office. She was known for her warm heart and her appreciation for simple pleasures: settling in with a good book, finding a special treasure while shopping at Goodwill or other thrift stores, and creating beautiful quilts with care and patience. Her quilts reflected much of who she was - thoughtful, hardworking, generous, and always mindful of the people she loved. More than any hobby or accomplishment, Roma treasured her family. She found her greatest joy in time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her love, guidance, and presence will remain part of the lives of all who were blessed to know her.Roma was a faithful member of Worthington Baptist Church for many years. Her faith was an enduring foundation in her life and brought her comfort, strength, and peace.She is survived by her children, Max A. (Debbie) Baker, Mary Hunt, and Matthew (Patricia) Baker; her grandchildren, Jason (Tiffany) Baker, Brianne (Nathan) Martinson, Jessica Baker, Rachel Hunt, Benjamin (Lily) Baker, Justin (Christin) Baker, Nathan Hunt, Tasha (Nick) Angell, Judy Hunt, Grace Hunt, Lydia Hunt (Ashton Owens), Miranda Miller, and Marisa Miller; and 10 great-grandchildren.Roma was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Max E. Baker; her son, Mike Baker; her son-in-law, Matt Hunt; and her brothers, Frank Gennicks, Larry “Turk” Gennicks, and Rex Gennicks.Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington, a Walton Funeral Service location, with her son, Matt Baker, officiating. Burial will follow at Worthington Cemetery.Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.Roma will be remembered for the love she gave freely, the family she held close, the faith she lived quietly, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her.
